Sheriff: 31-year-old motorcycle driver dies after crash in Butler County

A man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Butler County Friday.

It happened around 10:56 p.m. when Butler County Sheriff's deputies responded to a crash near the intersection of Millville Oxford Road and Reily Millville Rd.

According to the sheriff's office, a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling northbound on Millville Oxford Road when it crossed into the southbound lane and went off the left side of the road and hit a guardrail.

The driver, a 31-year-old male was thrown off the motorcycle and into the road where he was hit by an oncoming truck and the motorcycle was hit by a Honda driving south on the road.

The Honda fled scene before deputies arrived. AirCare was called for the motorcycle driver but he died before he was transported. Speed and alcohol are suspected to be contributing factors, the sheriff's office said.
