There is a certain sense of unmatched pride that comes with a clean, well-maintained lawn. That said, this is a luxury that some don’t have the time to achieve. There are a number of barriers that can come between you and a freshly mowed lawn, and some of them aren’t even ones you can control. The best way to combat this, and secure your perfect lawn? Investing in a riding lawnmower.

You might be on the lookout for a riding lawnmower as we speak, stalking the market but reluctant to hit that “buy” button. Or, maybe you’re still on the fence about purchasing one of these mowers. This kind of financial leap can be daunting at first, but rest assured- it is well worth the cost. To help persuade you, we’ve put together a list of six reasons why it’s time for you to finally take the jump and invest in a new riding lawnmower.

If you live in an area that has a combination of factors like poor air quality and high skin cancer risk, there’s little reason why you should waste so much time outdoors. Living in states like Alabama, Florida, and the rest of the South can have negative elements too, like their high humidity and frequent precipitation. Being exposed to the elements is harmful in a number of ways that could impact your body in the long term. In order to strengthen and preserve your health, you should highly consider the switch to a riding lawnmower.

If you’ve been using a traditional lawnmower and it seems to be at the end of its use, then why bother investing in another old, tired model? When you put money into something that is both powerful and new, then you’re effectively stretching your money that much longer. The majority of mowing companies have all but entirely moved onto riding products, both for their popularity and efficiency. Stay on top of the market, and avoid putting your hard-earned cash into a machine that might be obsolete in a few years’ time.

When you buy a riding lawnmower, you’ll be guaranteed to cut down the time you spend mowing the lawn. Since you’ll be on it less, it will experience less wear and tear. The less roughly your mower gets handled, the more likely it is that it will last you an incredibly long time. That’s why, just based on the time-saving aspect, you’ll get more bang for your buck. As they say, out with the old and in with the new!

A Quiet Communities study discovered that 26.7 million tons of pollutants are released each year by lawn equipment. The majority of this equipment was lawnmowers, as almost all of these machines are powered by the use of gasoline. This can mean a lot to those who are environmentally conscious. Fuel efficiency is something that many consider for financial reasons, but it can come into play morally as well.

When you purchase a riding lawnmower, you have an incredible amount of fuel efficiency. That is because these machines are so technologically developed. There is no longer the worry of wasting or expelling too much gasoline because you know it is being stretched to its fullest potential. This is a win-win! Not only will things become better for you, but inadvertently the Earth.

If you’re someone who is meticulous about their lawn care, particularly if you are someone older, then you have probably woken up once or twice with a strain in your back or leg. The exertion required to use a traditional lawnmower is quite hefty. As you age, it might be wise to transition to a riding lawnmower in order to avoid unnecessary aggravation on your joints.

This switch can also help those with chronic conditions continue to mow their lawn. The feeling of not being able to complete a task that you used to enjoy is upsetting. However, when you make the simple switch over to a riding lawnmower, you can continue to enjoy taking care of your beautiful grass.

Our final reason to consider upgrading to a riding lawnmower is that it’s a no-brainer for those with large amounts of land. It takes roughly fifteen minutes to mow half an acre of land. Some individuals have a property that spans dozens of acres, which means the mowing process can take hours. This can, in turn, eat up entire days of your valuable and precious time. This is time that you can use to be productive or time that you can spend with loved ones making important memories. To avoid missing out on the special moments, and to save yourself a hassle and headache, upgrade to a riding lawnmower.
