Portland police are investigating a fatal crash on Southeast Powell Boulevard. File photo

A pedestrian died near the intersection of Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 67th Avenue on Sunday night after being hit by a motorcycle.

Portland police officers responded to the scene just after 9 p.m., they said in a news release. The injured pedestrian died at the scene of the crash, police said, and the motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Southeast Powell Boulevard was closed between Southeast 66th Avenue and Southeast 70th Avenue while officers investigated the crash.

Portland police have asked that anyone with information about the accident contact the traffic investigations unit at [email protected] and reference case number 25-061811.
